Wow! Learning about the different theories was very helpful. As a future manager, I hope to have theory Z. Theory Z emphasizes teamwork. Knowing the different theories helps prepare me to become a manager.

I don’t agree with Theory X, this can bring a turnover for the company. I agree with theory Y and Z, at my previous job my supervisor was more of a Y and Z type. She had me involved in all team meetings and she wasn’t telling me what to do. I was always doing things on my own without supervision because she trusted me. At my new job it’s more of a X type, supervisor can be on top of me when I know I’m doing my job well. It can get annoying but I don’t take it personally.

This is a great inspiration for managers. Each manager has their own managing style but this is critical for all to know that there’s the do’s and don’ts for managing.

This was very insightful. A lot of managers have x style but, because it modern changes they more for for y. Ideally I believe z is superior to both of them. I myself use z, I believe z is very effective and involves a lot of collaboration and teamwork with us very important for driving teams.

The podcast is very informative and interesting as always. I learned so much from them. Over the years I realize some managers they only want their team to work hard, but never take the time to complement them. Some people they work harder when they receive feedback at the same time some of them might ok with no complements. I like the Z theory when everyone work collaboratively for the good of an organization.

This was a great podcast. I have taken mini manager courses in leader ship classes but this is the first time I’ve heard of this idea. I found it very intriguing and useful.

This podcast was awesome and very informative. I have never heard of Theory XYZ but I have to say that theory Z stands out to me the most, team work and being able to lead a group is so very important, no matter where you work you need a good team that will carry out what is needed done. Being able to understand what the team needs to thrive will only help your business.

The podcast was very informative on Theory X and Y. That theory x is not a good management skills. It is important to create a positive environment were employees feel welcome and a part of the company. That creativity should be welcomed in the workplace. This podcast really got me thinking on the different approaches of management. Great podcast.

Miceli - MAN4442. I thought theory X & Y was a very interesting concept. It is true that managers need to use their resources to better the company but I disagree with theory X that people really have no drive or motivation in the workplace. At least, this is who I do not want to surround myself with. I found these concepts so interesting as monetary incentives are not all I need and want when looking for a job. I really found this episode helpful when better understanding employees and leaders

This podcast was very interesting in the details it presented in the behavior of the managers vs the behavior of the staff. I have worked for micro managers and have dreaded going to work everyday. I love the concept of theory Z as being a coach and the team working collaboratively for the betterment of the department. I agree this style would help maintain a higher level of productivity.
