Theory Y and Z are great examples of what an organization should apply. These approaches promote a healthy environment for employees. It also promotes retention and performance.

Theory X managers are a danger for our workforce! I'm grateful to have only seen theory Y and theory Z managers in my short time working. I can only imagine the lost production that the world has seen as a result of theory X managers.

Theories XYZ are classic concepts of management. These are concepts that any business student should be familiar with. Each has its unique pros as well as cons. Regardeless of with which you agree on a personal level, I believe that all managers should apply a balance of both in the field as seen fit to the workplace. Operating under absolute assumptions, wheater positive or negative, will not probably yield postive results in an nuanced environment as a human workplace.

This podcast is about a theory I have never learned before. But they all make sense and I’ve seen these three Linda’s of management forms before. The theory x that someone must be threatened to get something done can be true but I find is mostly false. However theory y to think of work as play can create less stress but sometimes will get nothing done. This was a great podcast to listen to. It described the different types of management styles. This is good because it can help you understand what type of manager you are or what type you work for. A good one is the z style because I feel it will make employees the most productive, and the company will run more efficient with this type of manager.

Thalia Tobon - MAN 3240 This podcast was great because it helped me understand and assimilate the different types of management styles. The two extremes unturned spectrum do not provide a great workplace environment. In my opinion, the best management style is theory Z because it looks the most like a productive team.

Ricardo Bejarano MAN3240. I enjoyed this last podcast as it uncovers theory xyz. Theory x are those people who do not like working and at self centered. Theory y management relies on motivating employees to function. Theory z employees are those who care about their organization and are committed.
