I tend to carry a lot of stress when it comes to school or errands that need to get done soon. I feel as though I don’t have enough time for everything. This podcast really helped to understand the difference between good and bad stress, which can help me to turn bad stress into good stress. I am a type b personality, so by learning this information I can also use it to have good stress and be motivated by it.

This podcast about Stress in the Workplace has been really good at changing my approach on changing bad stress into good stress. I often can have one minor incident in my day that negatively changes my view on the job for the rest of the day. I need to work on letting the good stress motivate me to get to my end goal.

I found that Dr. Ricardo's podcast on workplace stress helped breakdown the difference between good stress and bad stress. I think that this episode can help me in the sense of identifying when I have bad stress and being able to step away from the work to give myself a break. I often find that this can be an issue of mine, I overwork myself and then have anxiety because I can't focus but I know I need to get the work done.

Great podcast on realizing the importance of getting to know who you are as an individual and as a worker. Knowing what type of personality you are dealing with is also important. Stressing out never works but knowing what to do to deal with stress in the workplace is imperative.

Wow. Never have I looked at stress as a “mental or physical change”. That’s incredible to know. School brings me a healthy amount of good stress. I get oddly excited before I do homework and afterwards I feel proud of myself. My personality is more type A, but I often apply it to my full time job. It’s incredible to be able to understand the difference of responding to stress so we can change any flaws we may have. First though, we have to be aware of it! Incredible podcast!

@hopkinsra1-I like that, I also consider myself as a Type B+ personality. There is a time to relax and get work done later and a time to stress and get things done early. This episode is valuable in understanding why my current boss always wants thing done now. Lucky for me, she usually does everything herself because she does not trust I will do things exactly the way she wants. Although, I would prefer a Type B as my boss and a Type A as my employee.

I consider myself as a Type “B+” and as such, have used wit and humor ( sometimes sarcasm) to overcome a stressful situation. It all depended on the situation. When I was the closing manager, I tried to make it a fun working environment with and for my crew, and it worked. We all had our fun during the beginning of the shift, and when it came time to close, procedures were done promptly, efficiently, and in a timely manner. Knowing when to have / stop the fun was key to avoiding stress.

I’ve always just identified stress as the negative type. This podcast was pretty eye-opening in that regard! Attitude is a choice and that’s a good thing to remember when dealing with negative stress.
