Miceli - MAN4442. I enjoyed this episode of the podcast because I often find myself getting stressed at work and feeling the stress of others, both good and bad stress. Feeling as if I’m running out of time or worrying about promotions is never a good feeling and has a direct effect on my work produced. I find myself in between type A and type B as I like to do the work myself and have good time management but also able to be calm and balance my life well. This podcast was very helpful.

I watched this podcast right on time. I have just finished reading a chapter on stress and this podcast tops it off. I have discovered that I am a little of both personalities. This podcast gives me a more accurate definition of type A and B personalities. It also defines more stress in depth. I love this podcast because it gives me a sense of direction where I stand in my stress levels and personality.

Stress is my middle name. Refocusing energy and properly delivering intended messages during staff communications can prevent stress from becoming negative. Thus, balance can effect overall performance.

Good stress is the good feeling a person gets when they want to accomplish something. Bad stress is the negative feeling we get with a task or situation. We always want to turn the bad stress into good stress by characterizing the stress, identify positive solutions, and being a positive thinker. I notice I am starting to procrastinate on items that I need to get done. But I am working on accomplishing the tasks without giving myself the stress of procrastination.

This episode was very applicable to my current job. I experience stress in the work place on a daily basis! Good stress is motivating and aids employees in reaching their goals. Bad stress is negative and can hinder accomplishment of goals. We can change bad stress into good stress by approaching situations in a different view.

This is a very interesting podcast. I never thought to think of stress as good or bad stress. I just always assumed stress was bad. Often times, we worry about things that are out of our control and let it consume us making us stressed, unproductive, and worried all the time. By understanding where your stress comes from, you can help combat it and approach it differently the next time.

This podcast is super ironic for me because right now is the most stressed I have ever been while working for a company. My day is full of deadlines and my job responsibilities are all over the place. However, I do think that my stress is a good stress because it is helping stay motivated. As someone with a type B personality, I tend to procrastinate, so this stress might be a good thing.
