The servant leader accredits a strong moral behavior, both towards the followers and towards the organization, interest groups and society in general. Servant leadership is a leader who stands out both in your work and personal life. Living your life as a servant leader starts in your heart, but it also requires action to serve others.

I had never heard of servant leadership until listening to this podcast. It is just what it sounds like, a servant leader is someone who puts others needs ahead of their own and is insistent on doing what will be beneficial to the large majority. I feel that this type of leadership is extremely important as you should always consider the needs of others.

Previously to listening to this podcasts, "servent leadership" was concept I was not aware of yet I had encounter I couple of times. Servent leaders seem to those with best interpersonal skills, those at the post conventional level of moral development. Any manager or leader regardless of their position should aim to lead as a servant to get all employees on their best side .

I was always taught that the best leaders must first learn to serve. As leaders you have to be a servant to those you lead. Knowing or having a leader that serves from my perspective makes you want to do more for them because you have someone on your team supporting or rooting for you.

It’s important to understand what makes servant leaders. Being one who serves first can humble you, I’d say. This is why you’ll be in the mindset to serves other when in the leadership position. Outside of the benefits of this mindset, I think it generally just feels better to put your employees and customers first so that you can show from a position of importance that you care for this people who currently are just willing to serve. The paradoxes were also a nice reminder to stay positive

My understanding of servant leadership was only with the leader serving their followers. I did not think it would also include serving other people in their community regardless if they are a follower of them. This is really important and really shows that a servant leader is much better than I even thought.

I enjoyed this episode very much. Servant leadership is a great type of leadership manager should practice. When you take care of your employees, in return employees will provide the consumers with amazing service. Which would lead customers to come back for service or product from the organization.

Servant leaders are much needed in this world because they will push and work hard to ensure that the people they are serving are happy and successful. Without these types of people, others would not be able to grow, learn, and continue to teach. What Kent Keith describes is great at such a young age. I agree that we must be the best version of ourselves even if it can get ruined out of the blue.

Thalia Tobon - MAN 3240 This was a great podcast because the amount of detail helped me understand the concept. Being a good individual by thinking of others first and helping others and not expecting anything in return will be rewarded in one way or the other. This is how individuals should act but it's not always true. Servant leaders is the ideal leader type, in my opinion.
