In this podcast Dr. Ricardo discusses self-esteem, self efficacy, and self monitoring. Self-esteem is important for a person to be successful. South Africa C is about the belief of what one can achieve. Self monitoring is analyzing if you are supportive person or if you are in a good mood. All three are important in a persons self-worth.

Miceli - MAN4442. I loved this episode because I feel like being in this stage in my life, early 20s, I think self esteem varies during this weird time in life. Between becoming an adult in the workforce, graduating college & forming my own life, esteem is constantly changing. It is so important to understand these feelings. I agree with your statement of surrounding yourself with people that will have a positive influence. I love the concept of self efficacy. I do feel as if I have control.

This is a really good podcast. It helped me reflect on myself. I have a mixture of high and low self esteem. When it comes to image it’s low and when it comes to education and ability it’s high. I also love what you said about self monitoring, I think it’s so important that people take the time to do that, when you do you learn a little about yourself which will help in the long run.

Excellent episode, I really enjoyed this as self esteem is something most of us struggle with. As I was growing up I could forgive in others things that I would not forgive from myself, yet thanks to working on loving and caring for myself I have been able to build my confidence and this has allowed foe my internal growth, now instead of seeing criticism as a failure it allows me to look at it as an opportunity for change and growth.

High self esteem is essential to develop. If we think highly of ourselves, we allow ourselves to grow. Low self esteem makes people feel negatively about themselves and they don’t appreciate feedback. It is important to obtain high self esteem but not to the point where it is overbearing.

Self esteem plays a big role in life. It can sometimes make or break you. Just like anything else has its pros and cons. It is very important to respect others and most importantly respect yourself. I definitely liked the part where you surround yourself with positive people. That really does help. All in all, these podcasts really makes you evaluate yourself and see hey maybe I can change something.

Great podcast as always! The key to self-esteem and self-efficacy is to maintain ones internal locus control and not let it slip-up in attributing both positives and failures to luck, while blaming unsatisfying or poor performance work, and life on others. Most situations can be improved by regaining ones internal locus of control and improve what can be improved

Yet another podcast that hit me close to the heart. By taking another look at myself, I’ve seen that I still need more work. My esteem is low because I cant move on from my past. My disability won’t let me. Mentally, I believe I can still do the things I used to, ie. sports, playing the piano. Physically, my body says “yeah... ok. We’ll see about that.” I can barely do things that most people take for granted. ( walking, running, have a coherent thought.) I self-monitor on a daily basis.

I found this to be a very perceptive podcast. I feel that I maintain a high self esteem, but naturally everyone has a down day every now and then. Surrounding yourself with positive vibes is always a great reminder for those times. Great listen!

This podcast made me reflect on myself. I do think that I have high self esteem but I do think I should self monitor more. If I wake up with a bad attitude I need to correct it before it affects the rest of my day.
