Great podcast as always! The key to self-esteem and self-efficacy is to maintain ones internal locus control and not let it slip-up in attributing both positives and failures to luck, while blaming unsatisfying or poor performance work, and life on others. Most situations can be improved by regaining ones internal locus of control and improve what can be improved

Yet another podcast that hit me close to the heart. By taking another look at myself, I’ve seen that I still need more work. My esteem is low because I cant move on from my past. My disability won’t let me. Mentally, I believe I can still do the things I used to, ie. sports, playing the piano. Physically, my body says “yeah... ok. We’ll see about that.” I can barely do things that most people take for granted. ( walking, running, have a coherent thought.) I self-monitor on a daily basis.

I found this to be a very perceptive podcast. I feel that I maintain a high self esteem, but naturally everyone has a down day every now and then. Surrounding yourself with positive vibes is always a great reminder for those times. Great listen!

This podcast made me reflect on myself. I do think that I have high self esteem but I do think I should self monitor more. If I wake up with a bad attitude I need to correct it before it affects the rest of my day.

One of my strengths, I think, is that I don’t care what people think of me unless I decide that I respect that person. Life’s a lot more simple this way.

This podcast taught me a lot about myself. I always thought I had low self esteem, but I am more confident in myself than I thought. I do sometimes worry about what other people think about me, but not as bad as I thought. Internal and external locus of control is a very interesting topic. I feel that i have a high internal locus of control. I believe that my future is up to me and I am always working to improve myself.

I like to think of myself as someone with a high self-esteem, but in the workplace feel that I struggle with confidence in what I’m doing at times. I have to learn to stop doubting myself and grow from mistakes I make. I liked the point of surrounding yourself with supportive and positive people because these people will help you feel more positive about life. This episode is one of my favorite so far!

I found this podcast beyond helpful! What I found was the most helpful was the tips Dr. Ricardo gave on raising your self-esteem. He suggests surrounding yourself with positive supporting people because we all have equal value. Another way we can increase our self-esteem in our day to day lives is by helping others. By helping others we are making other people feel good and in turn, we feel good ourselves knowing we did a good deed.

This podcast was great. I really enjoyed dissecting the difference between low self-esteem and high self-esteem. I happen to have high self-esteem but at times experience low self-esteem. This podcast was very informational and helped me to think more about self-monitoring l, self-efficacy, and self-esteem. Self-monitoring is something I do unconsciously and it makes me improve the way I handle situations.
