One of my strengths, I think, is that I don’t care what people think of me unless I decide that I respect that person. Life’s a lot more simple this way.

This podcast taught me a lot about myself. I always thought I had low self esteem, but I am more confident in myself than I thought. I do sometimes worry about what other people think about me, but not as bad as I thought. Internal and external locus of control is a very interesting topic. I feel that i have a high internal locus of control. I believe that my future is up to me and I am always working to improve myself.

I like to think of myself as someone with a high self-esteem, but in the workplace feel that I struggle with confidence in what I’m doing at times. I have to learn to stop doubting myself and grow from mistakes I make. I liked the point of surrounding yourself with supportive and positive people because these people will help you feel more positive about life. This episode is one of my favorite so far!

I found this podcast beyond helpful! What I found was the most helpful was the tips Dr. Ricardo gave on raising your self-esteem. He suggests surrounding yourself with positive supporting people because we all have equal value. Another way we can increase our self-esteem in our day to day lives is by helping others. By helping others we are making other people feel good and in turn, we feel good ourselves knowing we did a good deed.

This podcast was great. I really enjoyed dissecting the difference between low self-esteem and high self-esteem. I happen to have high self-esteem but at times experience low self-esteem. This podcast was very informational and helped me to think more about self-monitoring l, self-efficacy, and self-esteem. Self-monitoring is something I do unconsciously and it makes me improve the way I handle situations.

People with low self esteem are sensitive and others around them need to know that and not ignore it. I’ve been around too many managers that make people cry at work because they were insensitive to their self esteem. A person with high self esteem needs to make sure that they don’t come off as a cocky person. No one likes a cocky co worker... I enjoyed this podcast!

At work you can easily find those who have low self esteem by just the fact of how you put it blaming other people for their bad performance. Having a high self esteem will help you in your work so much because you will have more confidence to do things with out thinking twice on if it will be noticed or it will be worth it. An eclxtra work you will do will go noticed eventually and people with high self esteem can understand this even if they don’t get noticed every time

This was very informative and understanding how self-esteem correlate to personal confidence and understanding internal and external locus of control. It was good to listen and question where I am at in terms of my own self esteem. I can see in my own profession how leaders may not take the time to assess their own self esteem and how the self-esteem of the people they lead shows up in the work environment. Great podcast!
