I believe all three of these things play a huge role with in each other. You have to have self worth in order to keep a high self esteem, but you have to have a high self esteem sometimes to truly value your self worth. By self monitoring you are better able to control both self esteem and self worth, not let either get to high so you think you are better than others, but you also can't let them get too low so that you let people walk over you.

My self esteem varies in the different environments that I’m in. If it comes to sports, my self esteem is pretty high because I know I can perform what is being asked. When it comes to school, my self esteem lowers because I am more cautious about what I say and how I do things.

Self-esteem is something that I have not had much problem with, if I may be honest, not attempting to sound cocky or such but I believe to be sure of my capabilities and that I know what I'm doing and that I can learn to be better than last time. Recently, I've had the first actual situation in my life where I truly felt doubts about myself, and it can certainly be hard, I luckily have an amazing person on my life (girlfriend) that has helped feel sure once again.

I have struggled with self-esteem issues over the past few years and it’s mainly due to social media. This past year I’ve decided to deactivate all my social media accounts, only keeping a few phone numbers from a few friends so in that way I can work on improving my self-esteem and my confidence and it has paid off so far.

As an individual I found that self-esteem is something I struggle the most with and I’m sure you hear that often. I am trying to change my attitude and become more positive as I am generally a rather negative person. This podcast was very insightful on how to improve my self-esteem.
