I wish more managers in literary agencies believed that creativity comes from diversity of thoughts and ideas, which is, in my humble opinion, more important than ethnic or gender diversity. Otherwise, everybody looks different and has different personal preferences, but they’re all in an intellectual echo chamber. If creativity is what matters, nobody should care about what a person looks like or where they came from. It goes both ways.

This podcast taught me that creativity is necessary for success. The ability to find new and better ways of doing things is how we grow and become more productive. Although I am an administrative assistant and much of my daily work is redundant, I will find ways to be creative every day. I feel that internally I am very creative, but I have allowed my profession to push that back a little. Maybe I can find a better way to organize our filing system or a faster way of updating inventory.

I want to try to come up with an idea to embrace and nurture my and other’s inner creativity. I need to open-minded so that I can better understand and make improvements to my future endeavors.

Diversity is a huge part of creativity. Many people of different ethnicities, beliefs, and upbringings generates different ideas and a lot of collaboration in the workplace. The three T’s is a great point by this author, too!

This was great and right on point. Richard Florida hits it on the nail when linking creativity to diversity. This is a practice that is very important to get for organizations to thrive and move forward. Most of the time we stay in doing things the way we have always done them. Creativity sparks Innovation and motivation towards the future. Adding to this conversation I would say the new generation, Millennials, have a lot to offer organizations on how we do things in the future. Transformation!

“The Rise of The Creative Class” seems like a very interesting read, thank you for your recommendation! Creativity is important no matter who you are or where you’re from. Creativity is the push behind the growth in every part of history. This is an incredible podcast and I couldn’t agree more with you! The three T’s seem essential in building a new business. I agree, they all have to work together in order to fully function. People have to choose to give 100% in their work and life.
