These concept are simply essential to be able to run any organization properly, motivation for employees is key for them to give quality work as well as results. situations with employees. Although I have not had to work from home during COVID and even my school situation has not changed as I always do all online courses anyways. I find this podcast helpful to understand what family and friends could be going through. Even though he talks about what managers can do to help employees I find it can also apply to how you need to be encouraging and supportive to your friends and family during this time as well.

Remote work is definitely not for everyone. In order to be successful it is very important to have daily, weekly and monthly goals and tasks. Also important to be held accountable for those tasks and have a checks and balance system with those working in the office. Communication and accountability is everything.

I worked from home at the end of last year while on maternity leave. It definitelygave me an understanding of how important it is to have a good support system in the office in order to complete daily tasks that normally would not be that big of a deal. Now that I’m back at the office during this pandemic. I am able to give good support to staff members that are affected in one way or another and working from home. I am using my own experience to make the day-to-day tasks run a little smoother.

I have been working from home for a lot of years. It isn't anything new for me, but it can get a bit tiresome as I miss the face to face sometimes. My manager keeps an open chat wish all of her employees so we are all supported. Our team supports each other too as we all are in the same boat.

It's a good idea that managers should keep employees motivated from long distance. A way to get back to your employees is through the feedback by letting them know how they are doing with their work. Communicating frequently and giving positive feedback of the performance of the employee.

Working at home can be boring and difficult! Thank you Dr. Ricardo for this segment. Keeping employees goal oriented and motivated is important. Determine the goals and the manager and employee are both held accountable for the success or failure of that goal! The best way to do that is to find a healthy balance of feedback between the manager and employee. Making sure you’re not hovering, while also not neglecting your employee.

I found this podcast helpful because at times I do work from home while my staff remains working in the office. With all that has changed within our home and work lives the past six months, it is important to keep the employees in the loop so that they feel part of the plan, while ensuring that they are still needed and their jobs are secure. Most of all, positivity is key, leading your team with positivity will keep the employees engaged and eager to come back to work each day.
