This is great podcast for this time frame. Personally I haven't had the pleasure/task of working (as far as my actual job) from home, but with schooling now mostly online and during the start of the pandemic trying to graduate from high school, I can definitely say there is a very wide range of pros and cons.

Working from home presents a new set of challenges that employers have to be ready for. The personality a leader conveys over limited communication is even more important. The idea of MBOs seems very helpful in managing productivity in a remote setting.

Working from home certainly takes a degree of discipline. Currently many of us have forced into working from home. Face to face interactions energizes and inspires and is something that is missed when working from home.

Jalecia Chambers MAN4442 Fall 2020 Working from from home during any other time (outside of COVID 19) could definitely have been a challenge especially since most companies were not designed this way. Skills like keeping employees focused and on task.

Personally, I have not worked from home throughout the pandemic, yet my employer created social distancing by sending some of us to another office down the hall from everyones usual workplace. This experience was not exactly like working remote, but those of us how were sent to the extension office experienced many difficulties such as lack of communication, not having our usual supplies and not being in the loop about what was going to happen in the future.

Although I am not one of the lucky who get to work from home, not worrying about getting up early to make it to the office on time, I feel that working from home isn’t always the most productive. Employers who allow their employees to work from home must have trust in their employees to maintain the same level of productivity as what would occur in office.

In my opinion that is a grade podcast at this time, with corona all the changes that came through. The part in the podcast that I thought was most interesting in how the manager should help employees to stay motivated.

Thalia Tobon - MAN 3240 In the podcast, I enjoyed the structure of it and how you described the topic at hand. One of the major takeaways that you stated in the podcast is the importance of having a positive mindset. Positive mindsets fuels all aspects of life, both professional and personal.
