I have let go of a lot of the negative aspects in my life and it’s amazing how my thoughts have changed. Surrounding yourself with the best group of people will only benefit you in the future. Your environment affects you and sometimes you don’t even realize it.

The podcast had a great point when it states, "The body is what the body is fed. The mind is what the mind is fed." If we feed our minds or associate with negative things or people we will begin to think negatively. If we feed our minds or associate with ambitious people, it will help our minds to become ambitious. The mind food you feed yourself will make or affect the person you become in the future.

I am a believer that putting yourself in the right types of situations will yield you the results that you are trying to attain. The mind can lead you to greatness or it can destroy you. This was such a terrific podcast. For me, it definitely showed the correlation between feeding our mind like we do our body. However, with the old adage, “ you are a product of your environment.”, I’m wondering if it shouldn’t or couldn’t be changed to environments. I know that I’m not the only one that was influenced by more than one.

Great podcast. I have a team member who has an “I can’t” attitude toward any new skill. Although this is mindset of the team member, I do not let this prevent me from expecting the task to be learned. My team member is very capable and after it has been mastered I remind her that I knew all along she was capable and therefore why I was not swayed by her attitude. Most people are capable of more than they realize. A positive attitude shows us the way.

This is such a great episode, I have read the magic of thinking big and is truly one of my favorites. Ever since I read this book I always try to practice the habit of absorbing my environment in a way that helps me and not hinders my life. I always like the analogy of the mind food, as this is so true to the saying “you are what you eat”.
