MAN3303- The mind is what the mind is feed. Mind food however is not the same as food you put in your belly, it is the environment you surround yourself with. If your environment is negative, hostile, or destructive then you too will be the same which will lead to unsuccessful work performance. However, if your environment is positive, motivating, and encouraging then you are setting yourself up for great success. Be conscience of your surroundings, they are more important then one would think

The pints touched in this podcast were extremely interesting! It is truly so amazing to see how powerful the mind can be and how our environment can truly affect the way we think and the way we behave. I have personally seen how a change in environment can make you go from being one person to a completely different person. Being associated with positive and ambitious people can shape you into being the same way.

What an interesting point about the mind and how it can cause success or failure. It is important to make sure our mindset is right because as you said, it can lead us forward and to success. We have the power to make the change.

Managing our environment requires us to first decide how we want it to be and then change it to reflect that. The majority of your podcasts have encouraged us to surround ourselves with good positive people and things. I think this podcast is a reminder of that. I hope I’m eating good mind food.

Excellent reminder that we should surround ourselves with people who reflect who and what we want to be and how we want to feel. Positive energy is contagious. This type of thinking can help us rise up and be great!

MAN3240 - “The size of your thinking is formed by your environment.” I think this statement is bold and something that really makes one consider who they hang out with. I was always told as a little kid, you become who you surround yourself with. It is also important to evaluate habits - people with good habits tend to rub off on you, just as people with bad habits would. Environment is everything. Great post!

Managment of your surroundings is so very important. If you keep the negative out of your work and life environment your days will be much more positive. Feeding your mind positivity is the way to do this. Making sure your mind reflects positive thoughts and vibes. Paying very close to your environment is key to forming positive habits. Great podcast.

It is so awesome to understand how our environment effects the way we think. I love how Dr. Ricardo suggested to spend time around people who build you up and promote creativity. Inversely, it is wise to step back from individuals that consistently negatively effect others.

This was a great podcast! It reminded me of the saying, "What you put in is what you get out." Growing up my mom always use to tell me, "Tell me who you're with, and I'll tell you who you are." I now realize it's all about Mind food. If you're around a "Negative Nancy" all the time, odds are you'll pick up on that bad habit and become negative yourself. It's important to surround ourselves with like minded people that will edify us. -Rebecca Torres MAN3303
