I love this podcast so much. It takes the quote "you are what you eat" to a whole new level. Its the same concept with your brain and how you think about things. You are what you are around. If you fill your life with negativity and negative people, you will live an over all negative life. If you fill your life with positive things, and happy people, you are more likely to live a positive life style.

Jalecia Chambers MAN4442 We as humans only use about 10% of our brain power. That is so amazing to me and it makes me wonder why we can't use more. The concept that there are things that go on around us and things we see are mind food is pretty cool as well.

The podcast Mind food connects the book "The Magic of Thinking Big" with real-life problems. Dr. Ricardo also speaks about how one trip to a different county can change a person. The major Stamets is that our environment makes us who we are but it can also change us if we change our environment.

This podcast triggered my brain into thinking what personalities I have that aren’t from anyone else. It’s crazy how the environments that we end up in can change our life. Dr. Ricardo isn’t lying when he says the body is what you feed it and the mind is what you surround yourself with.

Everyday we have the ability to chose our environment, which controls our thinking. Our minds are the most delicate and sensitive instrument we have. My favorite point is the comparison of “the body is what the body is fed,”relating the same with our minds being fed.

Having a good diet can change the outcome of someone’s day. Whenever I eat healthy and pay attention to my diet, I do feel like I gain more energy. Having this extra energy motivates me to excercise or work on a task.

Things fed into our brains (as called in the episode "brain food") pretty much shape us as individuals as we grow up and then as we develop our own judgment we decide what's worth and what's not worth keeping. Our environment can certainly affect our judgment as well as our values but I do believe that each one of us has the ultimate saying of how our personality will be rather than simply letting society shape us.

In summarization, your environment determines what you become. The podcast made us realize that we are in control of what’s around us and what we will benefit in the future if we try to surround ourselves with positive vibes.

Mind food is our environment like our thoughts. Our thoughts determine our mood, habits, and our personality. I’m a firm believer in what you put out in the world will come back to you. I’m other words if someone puts out negative energy that person will receive negative energy because of their attitude.
