Great podcast Dr. Ricardo! I’ve never thought of the idea of creating jobs to fit the individual. Out of the five aspects you mentioned I truly appreciate job enrichment. Making your employees feel valued is always a must within a business.

Another fabulous podcast. I loved the concept of designing a job to fit the employee instead of the traditional structure of hiring individuals to fit the job description and job design. I think it’s a better use of human capital to make the job fit the individual and also adding job-specialization, and later job enrichment along with a large degree of employee autonomy in how the job is to be performed. Most employees genuinely want to perform well at work and produce results.

I really think that of more bosses thought like this employees would feel encouraged to remain in that position for a longer amount of time. I don’t think most managers understand that employees just want to do what they are good and and don’t want someone helicoptering them. I think if more managers tailored jobs to their employees they would be a lot more productive, efficient and happier.

I wish more bosses thought like this! I don’t think anyone would hate their job if they had a job that was personalized to their skill set and personality! Designing Jobs looks so much easier after hearing these five ways.

I believe you should always tweak the job description or task at hand to fit the employee you have hired. This will keep them feeling valued and give the employee a means of personal ownership to their position. Job enrichment is the key to happy employees producing exceptional quality of work.

I love the idea of making the job description, fit the employee. If I only get hired for what I already know, then I don’t gain anything myself. However if the job description is tailored to what I already know, then I will learn everything else.

Another great podcast with lots of amazing information. The idea of creating the job to be more comfortable for the employee is extremely smart and makes total sense. When someone is enjoying what they do they take pride in it and once their is pride they will never let it be below satisfying work or standers. To have this in your employees is game changing for you and your business or place of work.

I definitely enjoyed this podcast. This technique is great for the managers and employees to be productive, and it creates a profit. I love the fact that employees are emotionally connected to their job. That shows a sense that they care and take their job seriously. Job enrichment shows empowerment and responsibility which leads to becoming a good employee. Definitely a great technique for management and employees to be more productive and professional.

This podcast on “ Job Design” has several good points. One in particular, job enrichment, is one I’m very familiar with. After training several new employees at various positions, I was promoted to Training Manager with one company. With another, I was placed in charge of training new To-Go Specialists and Bar Staff. Eventually, I was given autonomy in both areas. In both cases, I stayed with those companies for 5+ years.

This was a pretty cool podcast! I’ve never thought about making the job fit the person instead of the person fitting the job! The more motivated your employees are the more enjoyable work will be and more things will get done. It will be an overall better environment for everyone involved, managers, staff and customers.
