Employees motivation will increase if your team members are using a variety of diverse skills in their positions, rather than one set skill repeatedly. If you encourage employees to identify with a task, they are more motivated to complete it and achieve the outcome. Organizational goals, employees aspirations, performance standards, and work environment are some of the major factors that needs to be taken into consideration into a job design.

These were all very excellent ideas, and good intel on how to get employees motivated. I really agree that when an employee is given more responsibility, they are more confident with their jobs and will perform better overall. Designing a job is a great way to do this because the employee can be trusted with the job, and can handle any responsibilities, so they will perform well. It is good to keep employees comfortable and confident, and I can definitely see implementing this in the future.

After listening to the podcast I believe job design is a great concept for managers. Job enrichment is a great concept that creates motivation and having the employee own their job. The podcast was very informative and I will use job design in the future.

Dr. Ricardo, I enjoyed this episode because at my job I can see how there is a job design. I for example just focus on my job already knowing what needs to be done to complete my job. My supervisor checks on me to make sure everything is okay or if I have any questions or concerns. She does not over look at what I’m doing. She trust me on my job which make me feel confident on what I’m doing and I sure do enjoy my new job then my previous job even though at my previous job I had great

Thank you for this podcast. I think that more jobs should be able to mold a job around someone rather than someone mold themselves around a job. I feel that this can help the employee grow within the business, while also letting the business achieve what it needs to do.

My favorite part of the podcast was talking about creating workplace autonomy for your employees. The key Takeaway to creating that autonomy is trust. Some great points about creating job in Richmond and efficiencies. Anyone interested in being a better manager would definitely benefit from this podcast.

I really enjoyed this episode. It's very well put and allows ways to optimize employee productivity. I will absolutely be more conscious about using these tools in the future as this is a great way to help a company and department succeed.

The concept of tailoring a job to fit an employee, rather than vice versa, is a great idea. Job autonomy is very important in order to give the employee a sense of freedom and shows that the manager trusts them. I also agree that it is important to empower the employee so that they are motivated to do their best. Great post!
