He brought much practical advancement to the economic theory reading job specialization. He also played a part in the 5-day workweek but that is off topic. Job specialization can definitely create a more effective work environment. (MAN3303, Jonhatan Zarate)

Dr. Ricardo I went over Job specialization in a previous course, you described job specialization as each employee focusing on a specific job. This leads to each individual becoming experts on that specific job and producing better results. In marketing we learn about Henry Ford he is known as the father of modern assembly lines and mass production. He created a business environment where individuals could produce large amounts of vehicles through consistently repeated actions.

Organization is crucial for job development and enrichment. Making the job more autonomous both managers and employees need to work together and build trust. This podcast shows how to tailor a job for the better. And with this podcast it has shown me that both managers and employees can succeed with the correct mindset.

Ricardo Bejarano: Going back to chapter 3 in organizational behavior it talks about how personal fit and organizational fit are key to successfully hire and sustain a happy employee. This podcast has helped me understand how important that is and how with that an employee and the business can grow by having mutual goals in growing the business.

Job enrichment is so important and job design allows employees to create a life they want at work through job specialization I think this is the pathway for employees to eventually become fully self expressed and self-directed in their careers. Great podcast!

This podcast is so Informative. This episode especially. I feel as they all relate to my administrative position. They can help me to help my organization become more efficient. We will be able to achieve greater results by determining which employee fit which positions best. We are also able to help the organization by empowering our employees.

Manager and employee relationships are important, but so is the employee and job relationship. Creating a workplace that suits employees raises productivity! You explain this so well and clearly! It’s interesting that giving employees individual jobs allows them to specialize and feel more connected and dive deeper into their work. “Creating a sense of ownership”! Awesome!

Job design is the idea of structured departments within a workplace. Job specialization is key to accomplishing a wide range of tasks within a company. Allowing each employee to focus on each smaller task within departments. This podcast is a great breakdown to understanding a little structure behind an organization. Something I hope to learn more about an carry with me in the future.
