This is a great episode, growing up I was thought about the emotional bank account and the importance of “good” deposits. As an adult I now understand how putting good deposits on the people we love can nurture our relationships and how it is also very important that we do. It allow others to empty our bank.

This is an awesome podcast, this give great information for current or future managers that want to do the best they can. Strategy 4 is the best because it makes a compromise that both parties are able to get something positive out of the agreement and everyone wins. All of the strategies are good to know for different circumstances and being able to pick the right one.

I definitely liked this podcast. It’s great for managers/future managers. My favorite strategy is 4, think win win. Sometimes it is best to be making a compromise so both get something positive from an interaction.

In this episode, my favorite habit is number 4, think win win. I can think about what others want and not just what I want.

This podcast is awesome for future managers! I loved habit four which was the win-win approach. Making a compromise so that both parties get something positive from an interaction is the beat approach. I want to try this habit once I become a manager.

Habit 5 is my favorite. Seek first to understand then be understood. Sometimes in an argument we just want to get our point across never even listening to the other persons side. When I started to seek first to understand I started to build better relationships and had less conflict. They best thing we can do for others in conflict is listen to them and seek to understand the issue, problem then offer our side.

Podcast part 2 on the 7 habits...wow...just wow. After going over this a few times made me realize just how much I needed to still work on in my life. I need to make more “deposits” for my self and others, and cut back on the “withdrawals” also, self and others. I didn’t realize just how critical and negative I’ve been. I really need to sharpen my saw a little bit as well. My doctors would be so much happier if I did.

Great post for managers! I like to take a win win approach i think it works best for all parties however this may not always be an attainable approach compromise must come in to play sometimes.

Another great episode! I found all these habits in this episode helpful, as they all more or less related to improving our own way of thinking and by sharing this way of thinking with others through listening. The idea of emotional bank accounts especially helped the habit where we choose to understand others. That relationship is also a “win-win” since listening to others deposits positive emotions to the speak. Meanwhile you gain better insight into a person or situation through listening.
