The American people have control over our right to vote. No one can take a right to vote except ourselves by not voting. We may not think that one person not voting will not make a difference, but if everyone thought like that, it would make a significant difference. Our future and how we live our lives depend on our participation in voting as an American citizen. We have a voice, and one person can make a difference.

This podcast couldn’t have come at a better time. Not only do we, as American citizens, have the right to, but we also have the responsibility to vote. Yes, it’s true that the presidential race is in the forefront of everyone’s mindset. However, based on the debacle of a “debate” we witnessed last week between to petulant children, I’m ready to take away their sandbox privileges. That was a clear mockery of how this was intended by our forefathers! Rant over. If you want change, go vote!

This podcast came at such a great time considering elections is coming up and its time for us to go out and vote. I hear many people say they aren't going to vote because they don't like either of our options but this podcast explained how its more than voting for the president. We vote for the chance to have our voices heard on all types of issues that will impact us in the long run. Every vote matters! -Rebecca Torres MAN3303

The right to vote has cost many American’s their life. Voting is a responsibility of all citizens that are born here. If someone has something to say about the way our country is, they can do it with their vote. If you don’t like what is going on in our country, then your voice will not be heard if a vote is not done. With the way the world is now, it is more important to vote now more than ever. Thanks for reminding me to vote.

Voting is a fundamental right, it is a responsibility to vote because our freedom to pursue happiness depends on having a functional representative democracy. Voting is important because you are not only voting for the United States as a whole, but you are voting for people who will represent the very state and city you live in. Voting is a chance to have your voice heard on certain issues, issues that can have an impact on your life.

If you do not vote, then you may find yourself as part of the problem. I vote at all levels. I am local so i need to pay attention to those issues. Vote early and mail in. Keep it simple but try to be familiar with the issues that are important to you. Democracy in America is failing the poor and uneducated that need the help the most.

Barbara Creasy-extra credit-This podcast is timely. Yesterday I received a pamphlet in the mail providing descriptions of the people running for District Court positions. I spent the time to ready through the candidates. The pamphlet reminded me that this coming election is much more than a presidential one. Great reminder that we make choices beyond our President.

This is such a relevant episode! I finally understood that voting is not only a privilege but also a duty. We need to make sure that we exercise this right, as the decisions that are made by voting affect us and our loved ones.

I enjoyed listening to this podcast. Voting is an important part of life that women and many others had to fight to gain the right to do. It is a huge part of forming our government. Not voting means you do not want your voice to be heard.

Extra credit- We have been very lucky to have the right to vote. I have learned that no matter what, I should vote as it makes a difference even if it's just one vote. I know I want to make sure my future and the future of my nieces are on the right path when our country is guided by the next leaders. I strongly feel this podcast has hit the nail on the head of how important voting is.
